Le Cameroun est confront\u00e9 \u00e0 un d\u00e9sordre urbain croissant, impactant la qualit\u00e9 de vie des citoyens. Les jeunes, en tant que g\u00e9n\u00e9ration la plus touch\u00e9e par ces probl\u00e8mes, ont un r\u00f4le essentiel \u00e0 jouer dans la construction d’un avenir urbain plus durable et plus \u00e9quitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019objectif principal de cette derni\u00e8re table ronde \u00e9tait<\/p>\n\n\n\n

d\u2019analyser les d\u00e9fis du d\u00e9sordre urbain au Cameroun ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u2019identifier le r\u00f4le crucial des jeunes dans la r\u00e9solution de ces probl\u00e8mes et proposer des recommandations concr\u00e8tes pour une meilleure collaboration entre les jeunes et les institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De fa\u00e7on sp\u00e9cifique, la session portait sur une sensibilisation particuli\u00e8re des diff\u00e9rents acteurs responsables de la cause du d\u00e9sordre urbain et ses cons\u00e9quences pour une meilleure prise des d\u00e9cisions tant du cadre juridique qu\u2019op\u00e9rationnel. Par ailleurs, la cible ici \u00e9tant les jeunes, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 question d\u2019interpeller leurs propres consciences face aux cons\u00e9quences auxquelles ils sont expos\u00e9s face au d\u00e9sordre urbain galopant dans nos villes, qui consacrent d\u00e9j\u00e0 une population jeune d\u2019environ 67 % d\u2019apr\u00e8s ONU-Habitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En somme les jeunes, devraient prendre conscience de fa\u00e7on continue apr\u00e8s cet expos\u00e9 pour pallier ces comportements de d\u00e9bauches et d\u2019irresponsabilit\u00e9. Ils devraient encourager l\u2019engagement citoyen et s\u2019impliquer davantage dans des initiatives collectives des pouvoirs publics qui ne visent que l\u2019am\u00e9lioration du cadre de vie de sa population .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La table ronde anim\u00e9e par Madame le d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 r\u00e9gional de la jeunesse et de l’Education Civique a abouti \u00e0 des recommandations fortes allant vers une meilleure collaboration entre les jeunes et les institutions ;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des propositions de projets et d’initiatives \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre pour am\u00e9liorer la vie dans les villes camerounaises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worl Habitat Day EBOLOWA 2024 Day 7: YOUTHS MOBILISATION AND RESPONSIBILITY IN THE FACE OF URBAN DISORDER CHALLENGES<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameroon is faced with growing urban disorder, impacting on the living standards of its citizens. Young people, as the generation most affected by these problems, have an essential role to play in building a more sustainable and equitable urban future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of this final round table was to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analyse the challenges of urban disorder in Cameroon;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identify the crucial role of youths in resolving these problems and to put forward concrete recommendations for greater collaboration between young people and institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, the session focused on raising the awareness of the various actors responsible for dealing with urban disorder and its consequences, so that better decisions could be taken in terms of both legal and operational frameworks. In addition, as the target group here is young people, it was about raising their own awareness of the consequences to which they are exposed in the face of rampant urban disorder in our cities, which already have a young population of about 67%, according to UN-Habitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, young people should continue to be sensitized beyond this presentation in order to counteract such haphasard and irresponsible behaviour. They should encourage civic engagement and become more involved in the collective initiatives of public authorities, whose sole aim is to improve the living environment of their population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The round table, chaired by the Regional Delegate for Youth and Civic Education, came up with some strong recommendations for improved collaboration between young people and the institutions;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project and initiatives proposals to improve life in Cameroonian cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
